Directions to Hartford Steam Boiler

Hartford Steam Boiler is located at One State Street in downtown Hartford, at the foot of Founders Bridge, across Columbus Boulevard from Channel 3. The building’s entrance faces Columbus Boulevard.

From I-91 North    (Traveling I-91 heading North bound only)

• Take Exit 32B-Trumbull Street
• At end of ramp, take a left onto Market Street
• Proceed to the second traffic light (under I-84)
• Take a left onto Morgan Street
• Take a right onto Columbus Boulevard
• Proceed through the second traffic light
• One State Street is immediately on the left
• 
  

From I-91 South    (Traveling I-91 heading South bound only)

• Take Exit  31 – State Street
• At second light, turn right onto Market Street
• At light, turn right onto Kinsley Street
• At light, turn right onto Columbus Boulevard
• One State Street is on the immediate left
• 
  

From I-84 E    (Traveling I-84 heading East bound only)

• Take Exit 50-Main Street
• Proceed through three traffic lights
• Take a right onto Columbus Boulevard
• Proceed through the second traffic light
• One State Street is immediately on the left

From I-84W or Route 2 W (For Route 2 directions, ignore the reference to Exit 54)

• Take Exit 54-91 South/Downtown Hartford (left exit)
• Go over the Founders Bridge to the second traffic light
• Take a right onto Market Street to the next traffic light
• Take a right onto Kinsley Street to the traffic light
• Take a right on Columbus Boulevard
• One State Street is immediately on the left

Parking at Hartford Steam Boiler for CAPA-U

As you approach the entrance to Hartford Steam Boiler, look for the CAPA-U “Red Shirt” brigade on Columbus Boulevard (CAPA volunteers wearing red shirts!)

As you enter the parking garage, tell the parking attendant that you’re there for CAPA-U. At Registration inside, you will need to obtain a parking pass to present to the parking attendant when you leave (only one parking pass needed per vehicle).

After you park your car, take the stairs or the elevator to Level 3 in the building. When you reach Level 3, look for the Security Desk (if there’s a guard and s/he asks you why you’re there, tell him/her CAPA-U.)

At either of the elevator banks across from the Security Desk, take the elevators to the 5^th floor (this is a different set of elevators than the ones in the parking garage).

When you reach the 5^th floor, look for the CAPA-U signs.
